OVERVIEW
Iolanthe, or The Peer and the Peri, is a comic opera by Gilbert and Sullivan that satirizes many aspects of British government, law and society. It was also the scene of one the Society's most memorable "incidents", in which a cut-out lamb took on a life of its own onstage!
