THE SPACE
The society has its own headquarters situated at 10 rue Pré-de-la-Fontaine, 1242 Satigny which brings together all the parts of the society. Please note, some Sat Navs have the address listed with the postcode 1217 Meyrin.
Main rehearsal room
The largest rehearsal room complete with a small stage and grand piano is the main area in which the full cast, choral group and orchestra rehearse. It's also an area to host meetings, musical evenings and social events. Lighting, a sound system and projector are all available.
Smaller rehearsal rooms
There are also smaller rooms which provide the possibility for principals or soloists to work separately.
"The Barn"
The workshop houses set construction, the props store and lighting and sound equipment. Social AreaThe comfy social area allows the cast to relax when not rehearsing, complete with hot and cold refreshments, mini kitchen and microwave. The Costume StoreGAOS has an extensive costume archive which we constantly amend and update for shows. Putting on your own show and need some costumes? We can help! Car ParkingA new multi-level visitor car park (built on the old visitors parking site) has now opened next door to GAOS HQ, straight ahead after entering the main entrance of the Satigny Business Park. Parking here costs 1 CHF per hour up to 3 hours and then 2 CHF for each additional hour after. Additional parking is also available in the multi-level parking on Rue du Pré-Bouvier, which is a 3-minute walk from the main entrance to the complex. The pricing is the same as above. If you're using GAOS HQ during the working day especially, we strongly advise that you do not park alongside the building. Parking is not allowed in any area of the loading bay at the back of the building at any time. Please be aware that GAOS is not liable for any fines received for parking in private bays at Satigny Business Park. Public TransportThe nearest public transport stops to GAOS HQ are: TRAM: "Hôpital de la Tour" on the 18 line approximately 18 mins from Geneva Cornavin. 19 min walk to HQ (also links with 57 bus). TRAIN: "Zimeysa", 8 mins from Geneva Cornavin. 13 mins walk to HQ (also links with 56 and 57 bus). BUS: "Pré-de-la-Fontaine" on the 56 and 57 routes. 3 mins walk to HQ. Car PoolingMany members travel to HQ from similar locations.
